With the help of the 48 Hour Film team 4th Collective, SBJ will participate in this years SplatterFest. And to make the weekend even more interesting, SBJ and 4th Collective will collaborate with Dallas Box’s Gobo Gang and start their film where Gobo’s ends. So SplatterFest will have it’s first Part 1 & 2 films. The mayhem starts September 9th, with our film due on the 11th at midnight.

Just got word from Jason that Eternal Peace will screen at the Dallas Video Fest this coming Sunday on September the 26th at noon as part of the SWAMP short block.

2010 looked like a very slow year for SBJ, but will actually end as our busiest year yet.
After the completion of “Forever After”, SBJ will compete in the 2010 SplatterFest competition and then go into pre-production on a sci-fi short currently titled “Expiration”, while continuing to flesh out the dark comedy short “Neighbors”. Then, barring any scheduling conflicts will film the next two web episodes of “Melon Girl”.
Plans are also in the works to finally update all of our movie pages with a full list of cast and crew. As well as put some pictures in with the list of crew in our ABOUT page.

Working in collaboration with Moonlite Filmwerks, SBJ Films is currently in production on a horror short currently titled, FOREVER AFTER. Scheduled to be shot September the 18-19, FOREVER AFTER will star Donny Boaz and Roxy Vandiver. Forever After will premier at Houston Horror Fest on October 14, 2010.
SBJ Films and Moonlite Filmwerks would like to thank all the incredibly talented actors and actress’s that participated in Forever After’s audition. Casting this horror short was difficult do to because of everyones incredible performance.
Inspired by the EC Comics “Tales from the Crypt” and “Vault of Horror” stories, FOREVER AFTER tells the story of one mans commitment to his wife, for better or worse, and forever after.

The last week of July, SBJ Films and Shadow Cave Pictures teamed up to film the web series pilot of “Melon Girl”. Written and directed by Michelle Mower. Melon Girl stars Danielle Lajoie and Emily Kula.

Congratulations to the cast and crew of SBJ Films to make it into the Finals in the Gulf Coast Film and Video Festival with the short “Eternal Peace”. Eternal Peace will screen on September 19 at 2:15PM at the Holiday Inn in Kemah.
