This is for the folks without the patience to download the full rez clip…
Just to be clear, this is NOT the video that we were able to turn in after 48ish hours (that’s the version that we’ll see tonight), but a more polished version. Enjoy!!
I concur with Mr. Youts (see below) on this one. I’m proud of what we were able to accomplish in the 48(ish) hours this past weekend. While the film that we will (unfortunately) screen tomorrow is the best we could do in the allotted amount of time, I feel that it has since developed into the strongest 48hr film that our group has made to date. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to give out DVDs at the screening, but we will have the clip online tomorrow.
In a few weeks we’ll have the wrap party and view the cut of the movie that we were meant to see, in the way that we were supposed to see it (HDTV BABY!!!)
I called Theo last night and thanked him privately, but I also want to sing his praises publicly. He was a fantastic editor and he brought new eyes to the project, and gave it a breath of fresh air (not to mention he works for cheap and doesn’t require sleep).
In addition to the fresh blood we picked up on the acting side, I think we are developing into a strong troupe, and I know that we’ll only get better from here (as long as Mike quits having kids…)
Thanks again to everyone, and I hope to see you all at the premiere.
I was working with Clemons today at lunch and after work. The final version is quite a bit different than the one we turned in. Both are good, but the final version is actually kick ass, really upped a notch. So, enjoy the screeing, but realize the DVD Jason is handing out to the crew is significantly better.
Peace out and see you at the screening!
Who was taking Juan’s role here?
We could either turn in an unfinished product and not win, or turn in a solid finished product that’s late and not win. We would rather enter it late and polished. It’s turning out awesome and you guys are going to love it!
